[MC-162699] when eating an item and moving items in hotbar and the animation completes both stacks disappear or reduce by a large amount

What I expected to happen was...:
either animation breaks or 1 item is eaten

What actually happened was...:
all the items disappeared

Steps to Reproduce:
1. eat food
2. wait for it to almost complete
3. switch items

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-159462, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.

However, that ticket has already been resolved as Fixed. The fix will arrive in the next version or is already included in the latest development version of the game.
