While in creative, if you break a beehive block it won't stack with others you broke in creative or beehives in your inventory. While breaking it in survival, it won't stack with spawned in beehives or crafted beehives but will stack with other broken beehives.
Like the grass block and when you look around while holding it, it has the same effect on spawn eggs.
