Ok I hope this works. Ran minecraft without optifine. As you can see below in the following screenshots, chests don't connect when placed on the ground. Fences appear as single posts in the ground. Same thing with iron fences. Glass panes also appear as single posts. Doors are not shown open/closed properly, almost like they're broken. This is pretty much the way it is whether a texture pack is being used or not. It's been an annoying issue since 1.13's release.

However, this issue is Invalid.
Your server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please create a new ticket.
Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers, such as The Hive and Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.

Can you try this on a single player world since this maybe a plugin for the server you are on.
