Right clicking on Villager with bow in hand loads the bow

Right-clicking on a villager with a bow in hand opens the dialogue as usual, but the bow loads in the background even without the mouse continuously being pressed. Upon exiting the villager dialogue, the bow is shot, and the villager is killed.
