Redstone ticks occasionally skipping in Java Edition 1.14.4

I've recently made an automatic drone catcher and launcher machine thingy in SMP as an attempt to create a massive non-passive structure almost entirely using moving parts.

The skeleton of the structure (the machine itself) shows some vulnerabilities with the signals stopping abruptly at random causing the drones to occasionally stop midway through their journey to the other side (catcher and launcher).

Eventually the catchers (The tall obsidian towers on either sides) end up breaking randomly for the same reason as the repeating signal skips a tick and makes it continuous instead of alternative.

I have attached a video of the "working" machine and another showing the bug in action; along with those I have also attached some insight into the inner working of these towers hidden in the footage for means of reproduction if needed (instructions).

Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please create a new ticket.

  • Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.

  • Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.

  • If you have problems on large servers, such as The Hive and Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.
