Getting stuck on falling/moving water

Hi . I was going to use my water elevator ( it's a kind of waterfall but only 1 wide and 1 large ) today , I got in and I got " stuck " in it . When you press space in water you can go up but when I tried I couldn't go up neither jump . I could move but I couldn't go up as there was some kind of block above me that didn't let me but , only a " waterfall ". By the way I tried to logout and login but everything was the same .
Ps.: this must be a 1.4.3 pre-release bug since it's the first time it happens to me and seems to be working on moving water too so you can't fight the stream . =(
