Lag peaks are still not solved when changing chunks, more specific in the next videos.
This world was created in 1.7.10 and updated consecutively, since 1.14.4 presents these problems.

Can confirm for 1.15 pre 4, updating from old wirlds (1.12) to 1.15 causes constant lag spikes whenever you enter a chunk for the very first time.
Note that this ia after you already have optimized the world deleting catched data, in 1.14 wich, if you do, negates a bit the lag, but in general, it causes lag spikes.

Had this exact same issue.
Narrowed it down to (connecting to a server at least), the servers render distance. If I drop it to 8 or so the issue is barely perceptible, the higher you go from there the worse it gets. Client side render distance didn't seem to affect it.
I ended up switching to bedrock because I can have a 12 chunk ticking distance just fine and a better render distance. Would love to move back to Java though if this can be fixed.
