Basically the title. This is caused by how texture is made (I mean, bugged texture have only borders, because I'm using connected bookshelfs txp), but it is a bug, because:1.It worked well in pre-32.The only broken sides of it are west and east, even if it was added to every side face and on those sides "higher" texture makes "lower" completly invisible, what means this could be spotted with any other texture that uses method of this kind.
I somehow didn't notice that it was broken in pre-3 too

This is an error with your resource pack models, not the game itself. I confirmed by loading the resource pack into 1.13 and 1.14 which both presented the same issue, indicating the model would have never worked in the game and therefor is not an issue with the update.
@Dawid The easiest fix to your item problem would be to copy the bookshelf item model out of the game and change it's parent block from bookshelf to bookshelf1, that got it working for me. You'll still need some more work with your vanilla connected texture because it isn't culling the frames going from east to west. I recommend seeking help on minecraftforum if you still end up having issues with your model.

This might just be a texture pack issue, not a Minecraft one. Maybe look up the texture pack you're using and see if people have the same bug.
