I know some reports of this exist, but they were for other editions or were abandoned.
Occasionally in Survival single player mode, especially when digging, the game will freeze and "rewind" like a multiplayer server, moving the player back to where they were a few seconds ago and undoing dug blocks and such. It only happens once every hour or so, but it can be very frustrating having to re-dig the last 3-10 blocks.
This is completely offline. No LAN, no multiplayer. Just single player survival mode, no cheats enabled.

That's very difficult to do since the lag is very brief and there's no indication when or if it will happen. Wouldn't I need to just be running /debug all the time until it happens, creating a needlessly long debug output? Please advise.
If it helps at all, I can say for sure that this never happened in any version of Minecraft I've played until this one, and many people on the Minecraft subreddit report this happening specifically in 1.14.4.
We do not have enough information to find the cause of this issue.
While the lag occurs, please run
/debug start
, wait a while and then run/debug stop
in order to create a debug profile. Afterwards, run/debug report
.If you do not have the permission to run these commands, open your world to LAN and enable cheats. If you're on a server, make sure that you're a server operator in order to execute these commands.
Then, please attach the profile results found in

, as well as the debug report found in[minecraft/debug/debug-report-<DATE>.zip|https://minecrafthopper.net/help/guides/finding-minecraft-data-folder]
