When I try to resize the minecraft window, either using the drag arrows at the edge of the window or the maximize button, the minecraft screen goes all black and white lines (a little like white noise on a tv). My external display blacks out, then, half of a second later, my built-in display goes out, and my computer reboots. It then tells me that my computer has been restarted (duh) due to a problem. I've tried using magic launcher, the dev launcher, and resizing different ways. I don't want to use the Minecraft full screen, because then I can only have one screen in use.

I think you are right; it does only happen on external displays! I don't know why it would cause a kernel panic though, My CPU and GPU were both operating fine, and RAM usage was only at half. I've only ever had a kernel panic once, and that was when my entire system was overloaded. Any ideas/know when this is going to be fixed?

Sadly that won't work for me. My monitors aren't quite the same size, so that would mean having a slightly too long minecraft window. Then again, it won't really matter in a couple of months, with Mac OS X Mavericks coming out.

I have the same problem.
I know this has been marked as a dupe, though it is not the same. In my case, my laptop completely shuts down. I don't even have time to try to force close it, let alone get a crash report.
