In the newest version of minecraft, 1.15, i have had severe lag issues while playing. This has not previously happening in any other releases (no clue about snapshots).

Frame rate lag and occasionally lag spikes
I'm having the exact same issue. My computer is not that good tho, but I get ~150/200 fps on 1.14.4 but on Minecraft 1.15 I get (no kidding) 2 fps with the same settings, java arguments etc. It's literally unplayable.
What are your system specs and your render distance?
As I said before, my PC is bad, but it was enough to play Minecraft 1.14.4 at decent framerates.
CPU: AMD A4-3300
GPU: Radeon HD 6410D (Latest driver)
RAM: 8 GB dual channel
1366x768 screen
Windows 10 Pro x64
As for my game settings, I've tried using the same ones I've been using on 1.14.4 (6 render distance, fancy graphics) and that gave me 2 fps in the overworld. Using the lowest settings possible (without lowering the resolution) i get a max of 20 fps.
My specs are:
CPU: Intel i5-7400 3GHz, 4 cores
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050ti strix
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Windows 10 Pro x64
Render Distance: 16 chunks
Hey. There are also problems with the game. The world does not load locations, it starts to load RAM very much, FPS drops. because of this, he does not find structures, since I want to check whether the locations of the structures have changed by 1.15, in contrast to 1.14.4 for my map.

What kind of lag?
