[MC-167541] Lag after 1.15 update

I just updated to 1.15 few hours ago and i am getting massive amount of lag. its really laggy i get about 6 fps. i went back to 1.14 and it seems fine. please fix this soon

If you have performance issues in 1.15, try to turn down render distance and/or biome blend.

im having the same issue still! Im running, walking, jumping anything! I lag. it isn't fixed for me though. im on a MacBook air so maybe that's why?? :/

I turned down all the graphics settings but still it lags. it doesn't increase the fps at all! all the settings are at minimum as possible.

already did that mister violine,i used the 12 distance chunks with no lag at all when i used 1.14.4,no lags at all. but in 1.15 i got massive fps drops and thats kinda annoying

1.14.4 had a bug that basically meant that the game lied to you regarding the render distance. It was actually lower than what you set it to. This is no longer the case in 1.15, thus lower frames are to be expected, depending on your hardware and graphics settings.

I think low end pc's can't handle the new chunk rendering. even though the render distance is set to 2 chunks i get lag spikes and small stutters. the problem is that this didn't happen with any older version. i tested it on 1.8 as well but there was no performance issue at all.
