OSX- Fullscreen (alt f11)- leads to black screen

When opening the game from the new launcher, switching to fullscreen leads to a black full screen. Buttons can still be clicked, and the sounds are audible. The game is NOT frozen.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open minecraft with dev launcher.
2. fn11+alt to switch to full screen
3. Leads to a black screen. The
