Cats Disappearing

I have lots of cats in my room in Minecraft, and since they give you gifts sometimes when you sleep, I always let one of them stand up when I'm about to sleep (they're usually all sitting down), and when I sleep, the cat comes onto my bed and starts laying on it. When I wake up, the cat sometimes disappears.
