[MC-169041] Double piston extenders do not extend in order based on direction

The same Redstone contraptions one build facing north, south and the other east, west, will not extend pistons in the correct order based on the direction.

Redstone wire updates blocks up to two blocks away. Your redstone dot thus also directly updates the faulty piston. The order in which the redstone dot is updating your pistons is not clearly defined. Duplicate of MC-11193.
