[MC-169793] Projectile Protection is Faulty?

I know Projectile Protection is supposed to lessen the pain from any sort of projectile: (Arrows, Snowballs, Eggs, Fireworks, Shulker Bullet, etc.) But from the official books apparently they're supposed to rebound arrows, this may be a misunderstanding, but that would be better than getting shot by a Harming II arrow whilst on fire and being cut by a raging child

Are you referring to the Minecraft: Guide to Enchantments & Potions book? It's likely the info in the book, rather than in the game, would have to be corrected in that case. Do you have a source/image you could attach for reference?

No, I'm talking about the OLD books, the Combat Book with the sword and the red book cover. but it was also outdated

I double-checked, and it seems that unfortunately the books are not considered valid sources for explaining behaviours in the game, much in the same way the Minecraft Wiki is not a valid source either.
