It appears either the predicate is reading the night light wrong, or the f3 screen is displaying it wrong, depending on which is actually working as intended.

When I searched for "predicate" and "light" nothing came up, so I made my report.
But this is not actually a duplicate of MC-10410, but are related. That report makes no mention of predicate, and refers to sky light, which it says is working as intended. "The game knowns to ignore sun light values during the night"... that intent then is to defer to block light at night.
But block light also is incorrectly showing, which is as zero, even though the predicate tests as 4. This does not appear to be as intended. IMHO.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-10410, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
However, that ticket has already been resolved. That means that this is not considered a bug and won't be fixed. Please do not leave a comment on the linked ticket.
If you haven't already, you might like to make use of the search feature in the future to see if the issue has already been reported.
