To begin with, I have an armor stand with Thorns II on the chestplate and leggings. I went to break the armor stand and it made a noise like a guardian taking damage, and I took damage from hitting the armor stand, but only once and I can't replicate it.
That's obviously a glitch, so I went through 1.8 until now checking on how armor stands changed.
In 1.8 armor on armor stands doesn't get damaged, armor stands don't damage tools, and armor stands don't interact with fishing rods.
In 1.9 fishing rods now interact with armor stands and pull them.
In 1.10 fishing rods no longer pull armor stands.
In 1.11 fishing rods now pull armor stands again
In 1.12 nothing changed
In 1.13 tools and weapons now take damage from hitting armor stands, Thorns armor on an armor stand now takes damage when hit, Fire Aspect swords now set armor stands on fire. A sweeping hit doesn't affect the armor stand hit, but one on either side is knocked back. If the sword has Knock Back, the armor stand hit gets knocked back as well, and regardless of the type of hit.
In 1.14, 1.15, and 1.15.2 nothing changed except for Knock Back swords knocking the stands further back in the 1.15's
So 1.13 is where it all went wrong, assuming how they behaved in 1.8 is how they are always intended to behave. Also I jumped from 1.8 to 1.14 or something like that, and the armor stand went from wearing the armor to holding it, which isn't really an issue, but it looked goofy so I attached a screenshot

Please put only one bug in each ticket. It is very difficult to keep track of bugs when they are not in their own tickets, and it is easier for you to make multiple tickets than for us to separate them.
