Pistons do not receive power from their front/face

I'm sure this is a duplicate of a "Won't fix" report somewhere or similar, but I couldn't find anything. Just so this is documented here:

Pistons do not receive power from any power source that comes from the front of the piston. This is inconsistent with every other signal receiving block, which receive signals from all directions.
