resource pack yg not found in pack.mcmeta

Resource pack that worked in 1.14 and updated to 1.15.2 by editing pack.mcmeta and changing version to 5 doesn't work anymore. Minecraft doesn't see it and throws error "Couldn't get pack info for: yg: 'pack.mcmeta' in ResourcePack '/home/henrik/.minecraft/resourcepacks/11(1).zip'"
Adding it to the server and making the client download it throws a different error : "Pack application failed: java.lang.RuntimeException: Invalid resourcepack at /home/henrik/.minecraft/server-resource-packs/991c54dadf7c651d2b1d6392bfbddd1c1ad27055: 'pack.mcmeta' in ResourcePack '/home/henrik/.minecraft/server-resource-packs/991c54dadf7c651d2b1d6392bfbddd1c1ad27055', deleting file /home/henrik/.minecraft/server-resource-packs/991c54dadf7c651d2b1d6392bfbddd1c1ad27055

Can you attach your .mcmeta file?

I can't see anything wrong there, although I don't spend much of my time making resourcepacks 😛

Try the #skins-n-textures channel in the Minecraft discord. See if they can help you at all:

Could you please try deleting the affected (or all) packs in .minecraft/server-resource-packs and let us know if that helped?

I have been bumping into this issue while trying to update a datapack for 1.16.1 and It would seem if the zip file is made on a mac the game cannot open it. If I place the datapack unzipped in the datapack folder it registers just fine. I believe the issue has to do with how mac (maybe linux as well) natively compresses zip folders and how MC reads them.

@@unknown, could you please create a new report for this with the affected datapack attached and exact reproduction steps, additionally mentioning operating system requirements if there are any.
This report here was reported by a user using Ubuntu so the bug you are describing might not be the same as this one.
