Flower pot flower instantly to your inventory.

When right clicking a flower pot to remove the flower that is currently in it, the flower is instantly in your inventory. Wouldn't it make more sense for the flower to drop as an item from the flower pot so you then have to pick it up, like it works with item frames. It just feels wrong to have it teleport to your inventory when the pot is a couple blocks away.
