When using the fishing rod it shows the line not cast when you use it

I forgot to mention I was using the programmer art resource pack.
it happens sometimes after I catch something. But re-logging seems to fix it
I've been having the same issue. It seems to happen more often if I pause or if the game loses focus about the same time when I cast the rod, however I've also had it happen a few times without that. It's rather random so hard to reproduce intentionally.
I can reproduce this when having at least one other fishing rod in my inventory (will update steps to reproduce then).

This is the same issue as MC-171484. I added fishing rods to that ticket.
I can't reproduce this with or without enchants on the rod. Can you provide additional repro steps?
