Sheep eat grass but grass block does not change to dirt

Made a working wool farm. Stopped working after a couple hours. The sheep would eat the grass block, but the block no longer changes to dirt. I tried switching out the grass block for another grass block but it didnt seem to have any effect. Observers arent updated either when sheep eats grass. Have not tested in the newest update. Still currently running 20w07a NOT 20w08a. Will update if I notice changes but given the single bugfix, I dont anticipate any changes.
