when I try to rename stuff it does not let me delete the text for what the name of the item/block.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-173725, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.

I have the same problem on my multiplayer server, nobody can click on it to rename something.
however there is a workaround for this: Press TAB when in the Anvil, it works as normal then, until re leave and click on the anvil again.
