i equiped full diamond armour and noticed it still shows full bar as if i have the strongest armour but now netherite armour is better than diamond so it shouldnt show full bar anymore

Diamond and netherite armor have the same amount of armor points. Netherite armor just has more armor toughness (which isn't visible anywhere except for the tooltip) and better knockback resistance (which is only visible in the tooltip as well).
