I didn't hit the villager but traded a lot with it. When I was experimenting with how they work, I just saw how massive the enchanted book prices skyrocketed for no reason.
I'm still not sure if it's a bug, but I've seen other prices go up even when I have a high reputation in the past.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-146373, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
