When Prone (1 Block High Space), You Don't Take Damage From Magma Blocks While Pressing Crouch

When you are prone in a 1 block high space over magma blocks, you take damage. However, if you hold the crouch button you move at the same speed and don't take damage. I don't know if this is intentional or not but it seems pretty weird.
