No sound plays when placing any block on redstone ore

I found that placing any block on top of redstone ore doesn't play the "place block" sound

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected to hear a sound upon placing the block just like it does when I place one on any other block in the game.

What actually happened was...:
Instead, I heard nothing. Just silence.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Make sure that your volume is turned on!

2.Place a redstone ore block down

3.Place any other block on top (doesn't matter if it's solid or transparent) 

4.You should notice that no sound is played upon placing
