What I expected to happen:
I expected empty boats to bounce on slime blocks in the same way that a normal entity or a boat with an entity in it does.
What actually happened:
The boat "bounces" in the air above the slime block (Video below). Also breaks the boat sometimes, dropping sticks and planks as if a player crashed the boat.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-108948, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
