So I was playing a hardcore game that was recreated from another save only once, and i looked at the cows that i had killed in the game that i had made a copy of and there was no texture on them, just white, all the animations were there but just no skin, i have no texture packs installed or anything besides the stock minecraft 20w12a

When this happens, please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.
This actually appears to be a duplicate of MC-188522, which hasn't yet been resolved, as this is a more active and updated ticket with an assigned, "Mojang Priority". If you have any additional information to provide regarding this issue, feel free to comment on the parent ticket. If you feel that this issue is affecting you, feel free to vote for the duplicated ticket, to give Mojang a basic idea of how many people are impacted by the problem. Just to further inform you, this will not determine how quickly the bug gets handled or fixed.
