I attempted to teleport to my friend who was in the nether and then was teleported to his coordinates but in the overworld and then my game crashed while attempting to go through a portal

Teleporting to someone in a different dimension teleports you to their coordinates without switching dimensions and then the game crashes if you try to go through a portal
