What I expected to happen was...:
To be able to move or jump
What actually happened was...:
I drowned in f5 view and when I respawned I found myself able to see the inside of my characters face. I tried to move but my character wouldn't animate turning and wouldn't move. So only my camera moved. I clicked with my netherite sword in hand (since keepinventory was on true) and I killed my own character with the swinging sword animation. Very interesting looking bug. But character doesnt respawn after
Steps to Reproduce:
1. equip netherite gear with depthstrider (dont know if this is necessary)
2. Drown swimming
3. try to move, if you cant then the buy is in play

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-175988, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
However, that ticket has already been resolved as Fixed. The fix will arrive in the next version or is already included in the latest development version of the game.
If you haven't already, you might like to make use of the search feature in the future to see if the issue has already been reported.
