[MC-176525] The functionality of the esc key is inconsistent across various options pages

On the resource pack selection screen, esc will not apply your changes. On the video settings screen, esc will apply your changes.

That's a different issue. My ticket is about changes not being saved, not about which screen you land on when you hit esc.

Ah, I see. But then MC-36344 is not a duplicate of MC-30538 either, because it's not about which screen you land on after pressing ESC, but that ESC doesn't apply changes to resource packs, which is the issue here, right?

This issue appears to be fixed in 21w03a. Pressing ESC on both your video settings and resource pack menu, will apply and save the changes made.

Can confirm fixed. But really this has been fixed somewhere before 20w51 as I cannot reproduce it there as well.
