Villagers arent taking professions or restocking at their work station

Villagers just straight up arent taking professions, or working. There is no reason they shouldnt. Their work stations are right infront of them. First they were in minecarts and they wernt working or taking professions, but even after removal of minecarts they still wont work or take professions. In trading hall, some villagers are restocking, no problem but others arnt. And villagers had no problem taking professions but now zero villagers have/are taking professions. I have tried giving villagers beds to make it more of a village, but nothing is working.
