Hopper not moving some items into some blocks from the sides.

Hoppers are not dispensing smeltable items (raw food, ores) directly into furnaces, blast furnaces, or smokers from the sides. Hoppers move fuel items (wood, coal) into furnaces of any type from any direction just fine, however smeltable items only enter furnaces from the top, not the sides.
