I have a standard sized Nether Portal in an entrance way (though the placement does not matter). We run through it often or use it to genuinely teleport. I am not sure if this is intended, but even if you pass right through the portal, the full 4 second block.portal.trigger sound effect plays at full volume. I have a beacon in my home, so I can sprint with Speed II straight through the portal and go about 30 blocks away, but have the full sound effect play out and at normal, full volume as if I was going through the full teleportation animation. Plus, there does not appear to be a subtitle for the trigger sound effect. Only "portal whooshes" with the ambient portal sound effect.
Sorry if these are two separate bugs- not sure if they were unique enough to separate. Either way- my main focus is the sound "animation" playing out in full (volume & time) after leaving the portal.
Easy to replicate- just make a portal and run right through it with subtitles on (or off).
