thrown eggs via dispenser don't collapse with blocks

i made an observer circuit (two observers looking at each other) and used and observer in it to shoot eggs. the eggs go through the stone wall. although chicks will spawn on hitting the wall and spawning ON the wall. while the eggs go BEHIND the wall.
