I gave myself night vision in the Nether just for kicks, and all of the text in the game was inverted. Exiting the void fixes this issue, but if you quit out, the game remains broken until you relaunch it.

What is your gamma set to, this maybe happening if that setting is above normal.
It does not happen to me, using gamma 3.0.

I'm using Manjaro 19.0.2 and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card with the "video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-440xx-prime" graphics driver.
