[MC-178569] When charging a crossbow and switching to another crossbow it reloads the first crossbow

When you're reloading a crossbow and switching to another crossbow, the first crossbow, that isn't in your hand still reloads, while the crossbow in your hand doesn't get loaded

this bug begins in version 1.14.4, but I couldn't figure out how to put other versions in the versions box

Older versions are not supported on the bug tracker, you can only report for the latest version. However since you mention that it began in an earlier version, that is fine.

I am unable to reproduce this issue in 1.17.1. After charging a crossbow and switching to another one, the crossbow held in my hand was reloaded as it should have been. I've attached a video that supports this statement.

This has indeed been fixed for main-hand held crossbows at some point, but still continues to be an issue for crossbows held in off-hand. See MC-234952.
