Minecraft freezes unexpectedly upon closing, won't close

My setting was as follows:

  • Buffet Surface Nether Wastes biome

  • Approx coordinates: -1000, ~, -1000

For some odd reason, the terrain had stopped rendering beyond this point. It was nighttime and I was searching for bastions because I had not seen a Hoglin Stable in any of the 16 I has discovered. So I drank a potion of night vision, and it didn't have an effect, The sky starting flashing between night vision On and night vision Off like it normally does when night vision is low. However, the flashing soon become nearly epileptic and I had to close it down. At this point I thought it was just a bug and I wanted to get to another world I had. I closed and saved, but the screen wouldn't change from it and I can't even close the window. Its been about 6 hours.

Unfortunately, I have zero screenshots of the bug(s). I do know, however, that Minecraft often freezes up while saving and closing, and the world then gets corrupted and further rendering causes literal randomness and intense lag.

I apologize for not having any screenshots evidence. Once I get Minecraft working again I will try to replicate it.
