Some piglins may decide to fall off an edge to easily pursue their targets, most likely in the bastion remnants. An example of this is piglins pursuing a player and some falls of an edge and gets burned in lava.
Steps to Reproduce:
Build the setup as shown in the attachment below.
Summon a piglin brute on the emerald block.
Stand on the diamond block and switch into survival mode.
Wait for the piglin brute to notice you.
Observed Behavior
Piglins and piglins brutes can sometimes fall off edges.
Expected Behavior:
Piglins and piglins brutes should not fall off edges.

I am able to confirm this behavior in 21w38a. Here are some extra details regarding this problem.
The Bug:
Piglins and piglins brutes can sometimes fall off edges.

Expected Behavior:
The expected behavior would be that piglins and piglins brutes cannot fall off edges.
