When you light a tnt with a redstone mechanism such as a button, it explodes the chest and the Piglins don't attack you. This also works for gold blocks.

This should be reopened. MC-178973 is marked WAI because stealing using a hopper is intended to not aggro piglins, but blowing up a chest is, according to DrownedZombie's comment.
