Carpet is able to be placed on other carpet

I read the release notes and they said something like this:
"carpets are able to be placed on transparent blocks like glass"

So, I was testing and found carpets are easily and quite annoyingly able to be placed on other carpets which is a huge pain when quickly placing them.
