I used silk touch pickaxe to mine ores, and when I get to the surface I place all of my ores one on each other, and when I started placing redstone ore on diamond ore, sound was normal, and when I placed redstone ore on another redstone ore the sound of placing blocks goes off. I checked and all my sound was normal and my headphones was working correctly. Next time I go mining maybe 3 hours later and the sound bug was there too. I hope that will be gone in next minecraft version, because it's super annoying and confusing.

It still seems to be the case in the last snapshots. However, I may give a bit more info? The bug happens when placing anything against a redstone ore, not only another redstone ore. I'm guessing the game is registering it as an interaction with the block and not a block placement (placing anything on a redstone ore changes its "lit" variable from false to true)
