Creepers Cant walk through open nether doors

I built a two warped doors and had left them open. I can back later and a creeper had spawned when the creeper started to target me it tried to go through the open doors but was unable to. I tested this with the crimson door and the same thing happened. The creeper stopped and could not go any further while I, the player, was still able to.
