Anvils disappear as well as items in them

What I expected to happen was me renaming an item in one of my anvils, I had a long anvil tower so I can use another when one anvil breaks

What actually happened was that all the anvils fell and broke and I only got 1 from it, the item was lost that was in the anvil and it was VERY expensive (Max enchantment diamond boots)

Steps to Reproduce.
1. Place one slab on the ground
2. Place 9 anvils on top of the slab (Make sure that the anvil on the bottom is broken with one use)
3. Use an item in the bottom anvil
