Pretty simple, it seems zoglins attempt to attack armor stands. They walk up to them and play their attack animation, but do not seem to actually do damage or destroy the armor stand. It doesn't seem to matter if the armor stand has armor, and only zoglins do it, hoglins do not attack the armor stands. I tried it in the nether and overworld, the zoglin attacked them in both.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-177122, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
However, that ticket has already been resolved. That means that this is not considered a bug and won't be fixed. Please do not leave a comment on the linked ticket.
