[MC-180879] No ancient debris spawn and no soul sand valley

I had upgraded my world to the newest snapshot, 20w17a. When I was digging for a long time in the nether hoping to get netherite I was suprised I didn't find any. So I did a copy of the world and ran commands to see if there were any ancient debris. I found that there were no ancient debris anywhere.

I downgraded that world to 20w16a, everything I had built on that world (world copy) were deleted. In the nether, soul biome had generated instead of the nether wastes biome in the downgraded version and ancient debris was there.

I guess I have to wait for a new snapshot.

You have to go into unloaded chunks in order to find netherite and any of the newer features coming to 1.16.

Thank you for responding. The issue is that there are missing details in the 20w17a for me. The soul biome and ancient debris in 20w16a are not in the 20w17a.

If you have explored a lot in the nether... Is all that loaded chunks?

Yes. All chunks you have visited previously and all chunks in a radius around them won't have the new features.

Note that downgrading versions (like you did when switching from 20w17a to 20w16a) will cause issues and corrupt your world, and is not supported.
