rain falling through transparent/non solid blocks

My build has a roof of mostly non-solid blocks like half slabs, glass and glowstone. This roof has a layer of smooth quartz slabs on top, a layer of glowstone under it and a layer of smooth quartz slabs under the glowstone.

Rain is falling through those as if there's nothing there.
