Tridents cant be thrown under two durability

When a trident has less than 2 durability left, you cannot throw it.

To recreate:

/summon minecraft:item ~ ~ ~ {Age:200,Item:{id:"minecraft:trident",Count:1b,tag:

{Damage:248}}}

• You will be able to throw the trident once, but then you cant throw it.
